Billy Bob “Pete” Henson, Sr., 91, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Mona Lu Tonn officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.He was born July 4, 1927 in Sweetwater, Texas to William Herbert and Bessie Henson. He married Sylvia June McPherson April 16, 1955 in Monahans, Texas.Pete served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953 and received the Purple Heart medal. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 42 years.He was a member of Spring Tabernacle Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge 952 in Monahans, the Scottish Rite in Lubbock and Suez Shrine Temple in San Angelo.Survivors include his wife, Sylvia June Henson of Big Spring; three children, Billy Bob Henson, Jr. of San Angelo, Donna Marie McIntosh and husband, Wesley of Sand Springs, and Johnny Ray Henson and wife Leslie of Goodyear, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Amy Overton, Tabatha Wright, Stephanie McIntosh, Natalie Watt, Amanda Adkins, Kayla Apple and Tyler Henson; and 11 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Cliff Henson and J.
