Billie Sue Nelson Jefferson, 63, was born December 4, 1944 to the late Rev. Freddie & Rosetta Nelson. She was born and raised in Sweetwater, Texas and attended Booker T. Washington School.Billie moved to Midland, where she met and married the love of her life Mr. Clinton Jefferson Jr. She was the mother of two beautiful children; one who preceded her in death, Barry Dewayne Jefferson.Billie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She became a member of the Greater Ideal Baptist Church upon moving to Midland, under the pastorage of the late Rev. I.M. Woodard. She then united with the Community 1st Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of the late Rev. O.L. Taylor. This church then changed its name to Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her health failed in August. She served faithfully on the Usher Board, Board of Trustees and the Pastor's Aide.Billie was employed by Marvin Dixon and Greyhound Bus Lines for the past twenty years. Where she not only gained a best friend, but adopted several children and made many friendships with several companies throughout Midland and Odessa.Billie is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son, and a brother Melvin Hurdle.Billie leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Briggett Jefferson; her baby sister Barbara (L.A.) Pertile; her baby brother Fred (Carolyn) Nelson; her oldest grandchild Chavaye Glover, all of Midland; her one and only grandson T.J. Glover of Lubbock and everybody's baby girl, Brenaye Glover of Odessa. She leaves the joy of her life, her great grandson D'Morriyon Breaux.Billie also leaves three adopted children that she took from her sister, Ronald Pertile of Wiley, TX, Carlton Pertile of Atlanta, GA and Melissa Pertile of Midland. Also left to remember and cherish her are her best friends, Marvin Dixon and Birdie (Redd) Reasno and her favorite sister-in-law Willie B. Johnson Haliburton and many, many family and friends.Funeral services will be Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 11:00 am at True Lite Christian Fellowship Church in Midland with Rev. C.D. Joiner and Rev. Roy Smith, officiating. A private family burial will be at a later date. Pallbearers will be; Anthony Reasno, Larry Griffith, Gerald 'Tank' Connaly, Morris Williams Jr., Robert 'Hook' Gowans, Anthony Wesley.The family of Billie Jefferson extends a very special thanks to Tameka Polk, Michelle Rayburn, Larry Hood and the entire Home Hospice Staff.
