Billie Nietert, 78, of Midland passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015 peacefully in her home surrounded by her children. Billie has been a member of the Midland community since 1960 and worked as the Route Scheduler for Meals-on-Wheels right up to her passing. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and an avid soccer grandmother.Billie Jo Beatty was born on September 14, 1936 in San Angelo, Texas to J.T. and Wilma (Beautice) Beatty. She married the love of her life, Tom Nietert, on November 22, 1968 in Midland, Texas. Billie was preceded by her husband on July 27, 1995. Her time as the Route Scheduler was not only a career but the Meals-on-Wheels program was also her passion. One of the few things she enjoyed more was watching her grandchildren play soccer.Billie is survived by her children, Cynthia Smith and her husband, Rodney; Chris Nietert and his wife, Perri; and Donna Ellison and her fiancé, Mario Chavarria; her 7 grandchildren, Stephanie Womack and her husband, Jason, Fabian Nietert, Matthew Nietert and Braden Nietert; Mandy Pearcy and her husband, Shaun; Clayton Smith and his wife, Jennifer and Dakota Busbee; her great grandchildren, Camron Haro; Emma Pearcy and Danika Womack; her faithful dogs, Scrappy, Chico and Jose; and numerous friends all of whom loved and will miss her dearly.Billie was preceded by her husband of almost 27 years, Tom Nietert and her parents, J.T. and Wilma Beatty.In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorials be made in Billie’s name to the Meals-on-Wheels program.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home and Crematory of Midland.
