York, Bill, 77, of Coahoma, died on Sunday, February 25, 2001, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 28, 2001, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Coahoma, with Rev. Jeremiah McCarthy, officiating. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery. He was born on July 3, 1923 in Frost, Texas and married Clara Gregori on June 6, 1949 in Ft. Benton, Montana. Mr. York retired from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant on December 31, 1962, after 20 years of service and was a member of the Air Force Association. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Coahoma. Survivors include wife, Clara York of Coahoma; two daughters, Joyce Baumann of Big Spring and Carla York of Merrifield, Minnesota; one grandson, John Thompson of Billings, Montana; two granddaughters, Janis Thompson of Billings, Montana and Maggie Taylor of Big Spring; one great grandson, Raven Taylor of Big Spring; and two sisters, Freda Greenfield and Lee Milliken both of Coahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Grace York; one sister, Nelda Milliken; and two brothers, Kenneth York and Donald York. Pallbearers will be Bennie Greenfield, Eddie Greenfield, Mark Milliken, Brad Milliken, Bruce Milliken and Lynn Milliken.
