I'm deeply saddened to hear of Bill's death. Monte and Bill were among my parents' closest friends when we lived in Midland in the 1960's and early 1970's. Bill was a dear friend since 1960 when my family moved to Midland the first time. He and Monte always made an effort to make people feel special and loved. He will be missed. Of all the folks I knew in Midland, Bill and Monte and two other friends were the ones who made the trip to San Angelo when my husband died 6 years ago. When my parents were moving back to Midland (for the second time) in 1969 I stayed with Bill, Monte and the boys for a couple of months until my family could make the move from California. Now that is generosity of the heart!!!
