Bill Ott, 78, of Odessa, Texas, died on Thursday, August 11, 2005, in a Big Spring nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at the Pyron Cemetery, Snyder.He was born on April 8, 1927, in Hartshorn, Oklahoma and married Betty Harmon on May 27, 1980 in Crane County, Texas. She preceded him in death on April 21, 2005.Mr. Ott was a longtime resident of Odessa and worked for Cooper Construction Company before retiring in 1995. He was a Baptist and had served in the United States Army during World War II.Survivors include his step-son, Kenneth Geer and wife, Lela of Big Spring; two grandsons, Robin Geer of Odessa and Sean Geer of Houston; one sister, Alma Stubblefield of Shasta Lake, California; one brother, Alfred Ott of Higgins, Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
