*Media Obituary*Bill W. Clements passed away in Irving, Texas, on Friday, Aug. 8, 2008. Bill was born Aug. 3, 1914 in Martin County, son of Willie and Mayme Clements. He graduated from Stanton High School, and Brantley-Draughan Business College in Fort Worth. In 1934, he married Velma Nichols of Stanton. They lived in Stanton with their two sons, Billy and Larry until 1950, when they moved to Franklin, Texas. Mr. Clements was a rancher in Franklin until 1992, and was active in the Methodist Church there, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and the Lions Club. He served on several local county boards, and was a director of the local bank. In 1992 Mr. & Mrs. Clements retired, and moved to Irving, Texas. Mr. Clements was currently living at Parc Place Retirement Community in Bedford, Texas, with his son, Billy. He is preceded in death by his wife, Velma, his parents, Willie and Mayme Clements, two brothers, Herma and M.L., and a sister, Lorena Smith. Survivors include sons, Billy of Bedford, Larry of Irving, grandson Michael and fiancee Traci Brown of Lewisville, and grandson Christopher of Irving, sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Marvin Harrison of Midland, and brother and sister-in-law Gene and Clara Clements of Stanton, and brother-in-law John Smith of Fort Worth. He also had many dear nieces , nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was a truly special man who loved his family and friends, and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held at Gilbreath Funeral Home, 209 N. Charles, Stanton on Sunday, Aug. 10, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Stanton Methodist Church at 11 am, on Monday, Aug. 11. Memorials may be made to Baylor Healthcare Foundation, 1901 MacArthur Blvd, Irving, TX 75061, or to Plymouth Park Methodist Church, 1615 W.
