We are so very sorry to learn of the passing of Jo. Your family has always been so very precious to us. Your many kindnesses throughout the years will not be forgotten. She was a gracious lady whose charm and beauty flowed easily for all. We will cherish our visit with the family in MIdland--unfortunately, too many years ago now. Our loving prayers are with you all. We pray for God's peace to bless you, and for your many wonderful memories to provide you with comfort. Much love, Tim, Carla, and Chanae Richardson

I am so sorry about the loss of Aunt Jo, as I knew her. It was Aunt Jo and Uncle Joyce to me. Even though I have not seen her in several years, I have such pleasant memories of her from my childhood days. I always remember her as laughing and smiling and with a great sense of humor. She was always so upbeat and could make anyone laugh. Everyone enjoyed being around her. I can't tell you how emotional it was seeing all of you at the viewing and the funeral. It made me aware of how special family is, how special your family is and that we should keep in touch with aunt, uncles, and cousins even if we do not live close to each other. Something else that touched my heart was the testimony her grandsons had about her. What a legacy to leave, sharing Jesus Christ and salvation through Him with her family. Being a grandmother, this really touched me and the legacy of sharing Jesus Christ and salvation through Him would be absolutely the best legacy I could leave. I will always remember my Aunt Jo and will remember her fondly and will keep in touch with you from now on. Please accept my sincere sympathy in the loss of your precious wife, mother, and grandmother. I love you all. Kathy Kathy

Fred and family, Aug. 15, 2009 C.W. and I were on our way toward Texas and our annual stop-by to see you and Jo, when we we received an e-mail on our motel e-mail check that you had lost Jo early Wed. morning. Therefore, plans were changed. We didn't feel you needed company; knowing how much you've worked taking care of Jo these past few years, we decided to just come by the house and pay our respects. Since you weren't at home, we checked with two neighbors and asked about funeral homes where we might find you. Apparently, you and the girls had already left by the time we arrived. We paid our respects to Jo and just decided to remember her with all the stories we could recite over the past few years. CW and I really enjoyed her humor and salty remarks she was giving you our last trip in 2008. She was such a pretty lady and virbrant person. Since we'd been on a 3 week trip and had commitments in Mangum, we could not stay for the funeral. We would have liked to have been there. Ray tells me the Richardsons/Curry bunch were well represented. I'm so glad. Keep in touch Fred (even tho we call you Joyce) and we'll come back and take you where ever you want to go. We love you. Joy and C.W.

As a child, living across the street in Stanton, I thought Jo was the greatest thing. She always reminded me of Debbie Reynolds. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. Please accept my condolences and those of my mother. God bless each of you at this time.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
