Betty Jo Lamberson MorrisonOctober 27, 1930 ? May 6, 2009 Betty Jo Lamberson Morrison, loving wife and mother passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009 after a brief illness. She was born October 27, 1930, in Bennington, Oklahoma, to Willie and Newt Lamberson. Betty attended High School in Bailey, Texas, and on January 15, 1947, she married Billy Morrison of Bonham, Texas. On March 17, 1952, they made Midland their home. In 1975 Betty and her close friends organized the S&B Stitching Club. She was also a member of the Midland Quilter's Guild and for over 35 years an active member of the Midland Memorial Auxiliary and a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church since 1952. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Billy, and one brother, Jim Roy Lamberson. She is survived by her daughter, Salita White and her husband, Clayton, of Midland, her son Keith Morrison and wife, Laura, of Odessa, sisters Bobbie Foster of Briarwood Bay, Texas, Marie Welch and husband, Wayne, of Berkley Springs, West Virginia, Madge Anderson and husband, Jerry, of Lubbock, one brother, Wiley Lamberson and wife, Jorita, of Paris, Texas, and one sister-in-law, Winnie Lamberson, of Paris, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and, of course, many close and dear friends. The family will receive friends at Nalley Pickle & Welch Funeral Home on Friday, May 8, 2009, between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. Memorial services have been scheduled for 11:00 am, Saturday, May 9, 2009, at St. Luke's United Methodist Church with Kathryn Boren officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be her five grandchildren, Tyler White, Jason Morrison, Jared Morrison, Shane Morrison, Joshua Morrison, Hannah Mooney, Stephanie Kennedy and LouAnn White. Memorials may be directed to the Midland Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, 2200 W Illinois, Midland, Texas 79701, St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 3011 W Kansas, Midland, Texas 79701 or a charity of one choice.
