Betty Jo Clutter, 89, of Midland, went to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, December 12, 2015. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 6:00-8:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 3:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel.Betty was born on October 20, 1926 in Stone, Kentucky to Andrew and Dorothy Newman. Betty went to nursing school in Williamson, West Virginia where she received her Registered nursing degree. She met and married Irvin G. Crawford on October 13, 1951.Shortly after, they moved to Columbus, Ohio where they raised three children. Irvin passed away in 1964. She worked at Grant Hospital in Columbus until she moved to Gulfport, Florida. Betty always put her heart into her nursing. She was an excellent care giver in numerous nursing homes, and helped prepare and delivered meals on wheels in Florida. Betty loved serving people not only as an RN, but in every area of her life. She enjoyed and won awards for her ball room dancing, she loved spending time at the beach, being with her friends, walking her dog, Stoli, and most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Carr and husband, Dale; son, Billy Crawford and wife, Susan; sister, Billie Dove and husband, Virgil of Greenup, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Francis Crawford of Williamson West Virginia; and Kerry Cooper husband, Richard. She was so proud of leaving her legacy to 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and even 3 great- great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Irvin Crawford; son, Robert Andrew Crawford; two brothers, and one sister. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be donated to the Senior Center, 5501 27th Ave. S., Gulfport, Florida 33707 or Hospice of Midland, P.O. Box 2621, Midland, TX 79702. The family would like to thank the many caregivers that took such good care of mom the past several years.
