Betty Jo Carey, 91, of Big Spring, died August 1, 2024. Betty was born Sept. 30, 1932, in China Grove, Texas to Harry Ryan and Mary Jones. Graveside service will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Trinity Memorial Park.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Vurner Carey; grand-daughters, Tonya Allen and Leslie Carey; and siblings: Reba Ryan, Bobby Ryan, Zelma Anderson, Frances Dowell, Ruth L. Taylor, H.B. Ryan, Earl Ryan and daughter-in-law Sandi Allen.
Survivors include a daughter, Jackie Platte (Larry); two sons: Rex Allen (Shelly) and Tommy Carey (Paula); 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
