Betty was one of the wonderful Cornerstone women who mentored so many of us. Her prayers were always welcome and soothing. the Lord gave Betty a beautiful smile and fun personality. She will be missed by all who knew her. I can only imagine...her heavenly greeting. Blessings to her two sons and their wives for loving Betty well.

To the Gilmer family. My love to you all at your Mama's homecoming. She was my spiritual mom. Ronny and I both have some bug, so don't need to be around people. Your mother had patience and love for Ronny and me. I recall a time shortly after I got saved. I called your mom and asked if it was a sin, after I threw my cigarettes in the dumpster, to crawl in and retrieve them. She just laughed and said, "Well Patty, I don't know!". Sweet, sweet lady, she is with her Joe daddy💕

I am so sorry for the loss of your precious mom, Betty. Throughout the years I came home to Midland, she always held a special place in my heart. I looked forward to the occasions I was able to sit down with her over lunch, along with my mom and their friends after church or getting together for a birthday. She and your dad’s great faith and wisdom inspired my husband and me, a young family at that time in the military, moving frequently when our oldest son had a very serious illness. Their spiritual faith, wisdom, and knowledge of the Word encourages us to this day to stay strong in the faith and trust God. She was a wonderful person, as was your dad. We miss them both and are praying for you all as you hold her service this morning, and in the days ahead asking the Lord to comfort you and surround you with his peace. This scripture makes me think of your mom, who always had such a bright countenance and outlook on life: Daniel 12:3 “Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.”

My heartfelt condolences to Betty's family! She was an amazing friend and prayer warrior! I will miss her deeply! I could always count on her to uplift me with scriptures from the Bible or a recent teaching she had heard. I know she prayed for me and my family every day! I am so grateful for many years of friendship with her. She was a true friend and sister in Christ! We both carried the label "only child." We really understood each other and thought a lot alike. An amazing lady!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
