Betty D. Gilman, 80, of Midland, died on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Porterfield, pastor of West Kentucky Baptist Church, officiating.She was born on May 15, 1928, in Alabama and married William "Bill" Gilman on July 3, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia.Betty graduated from Girls High School in Atlanta, Georgia. She moved to Midland in 1981 from Mississippi and had worked for Oxy USA, Inc. as a secretary for about 20 years. She loved her co-workers, animals and will be missed by all who knew her.Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Bill Gilman of Midland; special friends, Joe and Linda Agan and Teresa Ramirez all of Midland; and several nieces & nephews.
