Bettie Collins Twitchell, 81, passed away peacefully in her home in Midland, Texas. She went to be with her Lord and Savior July 31, 2012.The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, August 3, 2012 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland with Rev. Steven Hill, officiating.Bettie was born August 20, 1930 in Wimauma, Florida to Earl Jackson Collins and Margaret Collins Wilkerson. Her life was filled with her love of crafts. She enjoyed the beauty of this world and stood in awe of all of God's creations every day and when she worked in her garden and yard. Her family was the pride and joy of her life. Bettie chose a career as a cosmetologist because of her love for people.Survivors include 4 children, Donna T. Cecil (Don), Barbara A. Kidd (Lee), Donald D. Twitchell, Jr., and Lourie T. Zachry (Howard); grandchildren, Kathy Paxton (Jerry), James Kidd (Tiffany), Christine Johnson (Darrell), Amber Pruett (Robbie Dudley), Donald D. Twitchell III (Janine), Clint Cecil (Jennifer), Shawna Heard (Robert), and Elizabeth Hill (Justin); great grandchildren, Brandon Edwards (Stephanie), Brandi Edwards, Lourie Pruett, Cody Brewster, Brittany Brewster, Trevor Twitchell, McKennon Cecil, Cade Patteson, Tanner Twitchell, Kennedy Cecil, Ashlynn Patteson, Zachary Kidd, AJ Heard, Braylee Hill, and Brynlee Johnson; sister, Patricia Larson (Wayne) of Chesapeake, Virginia; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.She was preceded in death by husband, Donald D.
