Bessie V. Flores, 45, of Big Spring, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, in a Midland hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Salvation Army with Majors Orville and Debra Chambless, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.She was born March 20, 1967, in Big Spring, Texas and married Luis Flores June 12, 1991 in Coahoma, Texas.A lifelong resident of Big Spring, Bessie member of Salvation Army where she worked as a social worker for many years and was a Corps Sgt. Major for the Church.Survivors include her husband, Luis Flores of Big Spring; a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie Knecht and Matthew Bell of Big Spring; a son, Dennis Knecht, Jr. and girlfriend, Sidney Hillger of Big Spring; a brother, Joe P. Rushing of Big Spring and two grandchildren, Lisa Victoria Osborn and Naomi Mae Bell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Eugene Rushing and Naomi \Tiny\ Rushing. The family suggests memorials be made to Salvation Army, 811 W. 5th St., Big Spring, Texas 79720.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
