Bertha Condra

Bertha Condra, 94, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, April 19, 2001, in a Midland hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, April 23, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rick Denson, grandson, officiating. He will be assisted by Ralph Anderson, minister of Birdwell Lane Church of Christ. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Monday at the Wingate Cemetery in Wingate, Texas. She was born on December 24, 1906 in Wingate, Texas and married Robert Floyd Condra on July 23, 1921 in Winters, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 1, 1979. Mrs. Condra lived in Runnels County most of her life before moving to Big Spring in November of 1991 from Winters. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Birdwell Lane Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughter, Fay Smith of Wall, New Jersey; a son-in-law, B. H. Denson of Big Spring; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lander and Maggie Wheeler; 2 daughters, Helen Capestro and Wanda Denson; 2 grandchildren, Floyd Smith and Tad Denson; 1 brother and 2 sisters.
