Bernarda Alviar, 84, of Big Spring, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022. Rosary Service will be held at 7pm, September 6, 2022 in the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
Bernarda was born August 20, 1938 in Maxwell, Texas, to Monica and Demetrio Rocha. Bernarda was married in Big Spring, Texas to Doroteo Alviar on April 22, 1967 and together they raised a beautiful family. Bernarda impacted the lives of many in her family and friends. She was a member of the Legion of Mary, did volunteer work for the church, enjoyed gardening and watching the Texas Rangers play.
Bernarda is survived by her husband Doroteo Alviar Jr., Big Spring; a son Doroteo Alviar III, (Stephanie), Fort Worth; 2 daughters: Maria Monica Alviar-Titus, (Jason), Divide, CO.and Raquel Salinas, McAllen; 5 grandchildren: Sabrina Salinas, Chloe Alviar, Etta Titus, Claire Titus and Patrick Titus; 3 brothers: Guadalupe Rocha, (Carmen), San Angelo, Marcos Rocha, (Ramona), Big Spring, Roman Rocha, (Sally), Austin; and 2 sisters: Elodia Galindo, Chandler, AZ and Mary Jane Leyva, (Jake), Bryan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Monica and Demetrio Rocha; 2 brothers: Jose Rocha and Domingo Rocha and a sister Teresa Rocha.
