Benjiman Andrew Greenfield

Benjiman "Ben" Greenfield, 84, of Midland died on Friday, December 19, 2008, at Morning Glory Assisted Living. Visitation will be held on Sunday December 21, 2008 between 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, December 22, 2008 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland with Mike Vestal and Don Mitchell, officiating. Pallbearers will be Greg Murdock, Dale Wolf, Bernie Keaton, James Goode, Floyd Abernathy and Robbie Roberson; honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Mobil Oil Retirees of Midland. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Midland.Ben was born on December 30, 1923, in Dunn, Texas to Herman and Ruby Greenfield. Ben married Bobbie McGraw November 4, 1966 in Jal, New Mexico. Ben grew up in Snyder and Colorado City where he went to work for Magnolia Petroleum, which later became Mobil Oil where he started as a pumper and worked his way up to a supervisor. He was a member of the Westside Church of Christ and a member of Mobil Retirees of Midland.Survivors include wife, Bobbie Greenfield of Midland, Texas; son, Bennie Greenfield of McAllen, Texas; son & daughter-in-law, Eddie & Michele Greenfield of Lake Belton, Texas; brother & sister-in-law, Dennis & Willie Mae Greenfield of Sand Springs, Texas; son & daughter-in-law, Brad & Bridget Hill of Midland, Texas; son, Brian Hill of Midland, Texas; son, Barry Hill of Austin, Texas; daughter & son-in-law, Jodie & Laylin Copelin of Austin, Texas 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.His parent's three brothers, one sister and a daughter-in-law Jessica Greenfield preceded Ben in death.The family would like to send a special thanks to the entire Staff at Morning Glory Adult Home Care and to Home Hospice and especially Stacey Kimbell, RN and Dr. Don McLarey for Ben's Care he received.Family has asked memorial contributions to be made in Ben's name to the following organizations; Morning Glory Adult Home Care 2705 W Illinois Ave Midland, Texas 79701, Home Hospice 901 W.
