Benjamin "Howard" Berry, 88, of Gardendale, died on Thursday, May 4, 2006, in Midland. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, May 8, 2006 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland with Rev. Bob Porterfield, officiating. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens in Midland.Howard was born on April 19, 1918, in Palestine and married Geneva Berry on March 28, 1939 in Crockett.He served his country in WWII in the Air Force. He loved to build dog houses and porch swings. He was a member of the Assembly of God.Survivors include his wife, Geneva of Midland; a son & daughter-in-law, Jay and Patsy Berry of Midland; a daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Gove Sandifer of Alamogordo, New Mexico; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Gabby Berry of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
