Benjamin Oleg Conder, 25 of Midland/Odessa, passed away early Wednesday morning, February 28, 2024. A memorial service will be held 3:00pm Sunday, March 3, 2024 at The Branch at Nalley Pickle Welch Funeral Home in Midland.
Ben was born on July 30, 1998 in the Magadan Region of Russia. He was adopted by Kregg and Anne Conder, of Midland, TX, at age 6. Ben was one of 7 siblings, Hannah, Mackenzy, Caleb, Joshua, Elizabeth, and Rebekah. Growing up Ben was an active member of Boy Scouts, achieving his Eagle Scout, and enjoyed the outdoors. Ben was known for his cheerful attitude, the fact he was always having fun, and an unparalleled work ethic. Ben was always adventurous and fearless. Ben was homeschooled until age 18 when he left home and moved to Odessa. There he worked in the oil field in different capacities over the years. During that time Ben was involved in Next Level Heroes, which is an organization that brings fun and encouragement to children with terminal illnesses by dressing up as superheroes. Though the circumstances of Ben’s passing were unexpected and tragic we believe that the Lord, Jesus Christ, can work to bring good even out of a tragic situation.
Benjamin is survived by his parents, siblings, Grandma Marlene, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and the many, many friends who loved him.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards the first responders, medical examiner, friends, and family who have all been involved in this process.
In lieu of memorial gifts donations can be made in Ben’s name to Narrow Gate online at narrowgate.org or by mail at Narrow Gate, P.O. Box 267, Duck River, TN 38454.
