Beatriz Sanchez Carrillo

Beatriz Carrillo (Ticha), 85, of McCamey, Texas passed away on April 14^th, 2025 peacefully in Midland, Texas.

She was born in Villa De Fuente, Coahuila, Mexico on December 26^th, 1939 to Epitacio and Blaza Sanchez.  She was raised in Mexico and later moved to Eagle Pass, Texas where she met her spouse, Juan Carrillo.  She married in 1965.

Beatriz moved to McCamey, Texas in 1968 where she enjoyed a simple family life.  She raised two daughters while being a housewife and assisted with keeping up with the farm.  She worked at Benito’s Restaurant in McCamey for several years.  She was a loving and caring mother that always provided and made sure everyone was taken care of.

She is survived by her two daughters San Juana Prado and Velia Prado.  She leaves behind two granddaughters Raquel Prado and Erika Franco, and their spouses Stephen Barraza and Jesus Franco.

Her biggest joy in life was her great grandkids, Juan and Katalina Barraza and Camila and Olivia Franco.  She also leaves behind six sisters and two brothers and a host of nieces and nephews.

Beatriz is preceded in death by her husband Juan Carrillo, her great grandmother Olegaria Calderon per parents Blaza and Epitacio Sanchez and two sisters and one brother.  She also leaves behind her beloved cat “Pretty” that will miss her tremendously.

In the words of her great grandson, “Abuela and Abuelo are now together in Heaven after two years apart”.
