On October 20th, 2021, Bay Henry Beitel passed away after a short battle with cancer at Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX. He was an amazing father, loving son, and great friend to many.
Bay Henry Beitel was born August 20, 1973, in Bayshore, NY to Warren and Ann Beitel. The family moved to Del Rio, TX in 1975 and this is where Bay spent most of his childhood. Warren was transferred to The U.S. Virgin Islands where Bay and his parents lived from 1981 until 1986 when they returned to Del Rio. Bay graduated from Del Rio High in 1992 and then followed on to Howard College to earn his associates degree. He then attended Texas Tech and was a diehard fan! Wreck ‘em Tech!
At the time of Bay’s death, he was working in Amarillo as the Service Operations Manager at Willborn Tank and Fuel Systems. Prior to that he worked as a service tech for 12 years at Boler Equipment.
Bay was the father to a beautiful and talented daughter, Brylee. He was extremely proud of all her accomplishments and how she has grown into an outstanding young lady. He even passed his love of Texas Tech onto her.
In his adult life, it was rare to see Bay without a dog by his side or in his truck. He raised Callie and had her for close to 15 years. After Callie, Bay got Taz, who was always by his side over the last two years.
Bay is preceded in death by his mother, Ann Beitel, grandparents Quentin and Ruth Beitel, and John and Margaret Frieman. He is survived by his daughter, Brylee Beitel of Midland, TX, his father, Warren Beitel of Del Rio, TX , Aunt Sue (Ralph) Mancuso, of Tallahassee, Florida, Uncle Quentin (Margaret) Beitel of Lake Mary, Florida, Girlfriend Nanci Weldon, her children and grandchildren, and cousins Robin Mancuso, Mark Mancuso, Karely Lester, Sarah Martin, Claudia Shearer, Jacquie Prescott and their families.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland. Online condolences may be made at www.npwelch.com.
