Barry Pierce, 71, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. Services will be held Monday, November 18th, 2024 at 10am at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory. Graveside services will be held at a later day and time.
Barry was born on September 17, 1953 in Lamesa, TX to Elton Ray and Willie Pierce. Barry attended Lamesa schools and graduated in 1971. After high school, he obtained his Master Electrician license and created his own business, Circle P Electric, while also working for the Hearst Corporation. Barry would work for the Midland Reporter Telegram until his retirement. Barry married the love of his life, Billie and created a wonderful life with two handsome boys, Eric and Evan. Barry enjoyed outdoor activities like hunting and fishing with his sons. He also developed a love for Tae Kwon Do, advancing to blackbelt and instructor for Kent Tae Kwon Do. After retirement, Barry enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His favorite thing to do was sit out front on his rocking chair with his wife, Billie and enjoy the wildlife, sunrises, and sunsets. Barry had a deep faith in his Lord and Savior and attended Valley View Baptist Church. If you knew Barry, you were often greeted with “Praise the Lord” and a fist bump.
Barry is survived by his wife, Billie; son, Eric and his wife Amanda and their three sons, Max, Matthew, and Mark Pierce of Andrews, TX; son, Evan and his wife Danielle and their two children, Alexis and Grant Pierce of Aldie, Virginia; sisters, Shirrel Hurrell of Lubbock, Barbara Rink (Mike) of Punta Gorda, Florida, Jackie Calhoun (Tony) of Lamesa, TX.; sister-in-law, Delana Alred of Hempstead, TX.
Barry is preceded in death by his parents, Elton Ray and Willie Pierce and brother Bobby Pierce
