Barry Alan Carter, 70, of Midland went home to Jesus on Monday, May 28, 2018 in Midland.He was born March 7, 1948 in Seguin, Texas to Robert and Emma Dorothy Carter. He spent his childhood in Luling, Texas and graduated from Luling High School. He attended Texas A&I College on a football scholarship. He spent 34 years of his career working for Halliburton in South Texas, South Africa and Midland. In 2009 he built Town & Country Ultra Wash in Midland and operated it until his death. Barry enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and just talking “oil field” with friends. He was a devoted Christian and belonged to the Baptist faith. He lost his life after a long battle with cancer, but wasn’t afraid because he knew where he was going.Barry is survived by his wife Anne Carter; sister Gail Carter; children Robin Tulsa, Brian (Jaime) Carter, Jesse Carter; grandchildren Tyler, Carter, Cade, Cord; and one beautiful great granddaughter Brighton.Barry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Larry.Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Temple Baptist Church in Midland.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Temple Baptist Church, 4301 Thomason DR, Midland, TX 79703 or Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 5110 N Garfield ST, Midland, TX 79705.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
