Barbara Ann Morgan, 91 passed away on August 3, 2022. A visitation will be 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. A private Interment Service will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Barbara was born in Anadarko, OK on June 23, 1931 to Burl and Laura Lorene Graves. On June 6, 1937 her Mother married T. S. (Red) Standlee who helped raise Barbara. Red was an oilfield worker so they moved often and therefore Barbara went to sixteen different schools in 12 years of schooling. She graduated in 1949 from Andrews High School. When she was 18 years old they moved to Tahoka, Texas where she met the love of her life, Travis M. Morgan. Travis and Barbara married on April 21, 1951 and were married for 64 years. They lived in El Paso while Travis was in the Army and Barbara worked at White Sands Missile Range. In 1955 they moved to Midland, Texas where in 1957 their daughter, Laura Kaye was born and in 1960 their son Travis Wayne Morgan arrived. While her children were growing up she was active in PTA and Girl Scouts. After the kids were older, Barbara went back to work in the oil & gas business and was a member of the Midland Desk & Derrick Club. Barbara loved to play cards and was a member of several hand & foot card and bunko clubs. As she got older, she enjoyed playing bingo with her son and playing bridge at the Senior Citizens Center.
Barbara Morgan is survived by her daughter Laura Morgan and her husband, Roger Coughlin and her son, Wayne Morgan. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Travis Morgan.
