Barbara (Crawford) Driver died on Friday, April 6, 2007. Barbara was born in Port Arthur, Texas on November 6, 1933 to Austin R. Crawford and Inez Crawford. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home in Port Arthur, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at the chapel at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home in Port Arthur. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Port Arthur.After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School, Barbara attended Port Arthur Business College. Upon graduation, she was employed by Gulf Oil Company. She married C. G. (Jerry) Cooper in 1954 and they had one son, Blake Cooper. As a member of First Baptist Church in Port Arthur, she was very active in the youth groups and music ministry. Her love for music was a life long passion, as she enjoyed singing and playing the violin. While residing in Port Arthur, she was an active member of Eastern Star.She lived in Commerce, San Antonio and Galena Park before returning to the Port Arthur area. In 1994, she moved to Midland, Texas where she resided until her death. Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church in Midland.Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Blake Cooper of Channelview, Texas; her sister, Jeanine Fitzgerald and her husband, Lowell of Irvine, California; and her brother, Bob Crawford and his wife, Cherry of Midland.Local arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
