Barbara Ann Clark, beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on May 7, 2025, after a brief and courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Just three and a half weeks after her diagnosis, complications from pneumonia led to a bacterial infection in her bloodstream, and she left this world far too soon. Her sudden passing has left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Born on August 3, 1958, Barbara married the love of her life, Phillip Dell Clark, on January 6, 1979. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and dedication to their community. Barbara worked at the American Legion for ten years, proudly serving as an Officer in the Auxiliary. She later joined the Eagles, where she continued her service as an active member and Officer, always committed to helping others.
Barbara had a joyful spirit that lit up every room. She loved to dance—whether at an event, a gathering, or in her own kitchen, she never missed a chance to move to the music and share a laugh. She was always ready for a party, never missed a costume event, and brought unmatched energy and flair to every celebration. Her sense of humor was truly one of a kind—quick, witty, and full of life, she had an effortless way of making people feel at ease and reminding them not to take life too seriously. And if you pushed your luck? You’d hear her classic, “Okay, buck-o!”—her hilarious way of putting you in your place without skipping a beat.
Barbara was also a fantastic cook. Her meals brought people together, and her kitchen was often filled with delicious aromas, good conversation, and laughter. Whether it was a family favorite or a new experiment, she poured love and creativity into everything she touched.
A devoted sister and a loyal friend, Barbara had a special way of showing up for those she loved. She was the first to offer a helping hand, a kind word, or a much-needed laugh—no matter the circumstance.
A lover of animals—especially her cherished Alvin and Theodore—Barbara was an avid dog enthusiast with a heart as big as the outdoors she loved. Whether it was gardening, caring for plants, or simply soaking in the beauty of nature, she found joy and peace in the world around her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Phillip Dell Clark; her father, Richard Johnson; and dear family members Donna and Polly.
Barbara is survived by her mother, Norma Johnson; her only sister, Debbie Robertson; her niece, Hillary Stephens, and husband Ricky; and her stepdaughter, Tracy Butler, husband Corey and 3 children: Jordan, Addison & Lexi.
