Barbara Ann Aldrich Osbourne was born in Danbury, Nebraska, on July 12, 1931 to Leslie Vincent Aldrich and Marjorie Effie Allen Aldrich. She married Benjamin Theodore Myers on January 8, 1950. She and Ben had 2 children, Steven (who died soon after birth) and Theodore Jr. Sadly, Barbara Ann lost Ben in a car accident on June 25, 1951. But she went on with life with her son Ted and found her lifelong love, Claude James Osbourne. The two were married on June 13, 1953. They grew their family, with Claude adopting Ted as well as the birth of sons James and Kevin, and daughter Barbara Ellen. She lived a happy, wonderful life.
Barbara Ann passed away on March 4, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Vincent Aldrich Jr, sister Carolyn May Aldrich Eckert, brother Charles Allen Aldrich, husbands Ben Myers & Claude Osbourne, sons Steven Myers and Theodore Osbourne, and son-in-law Charles Waser.
She is survived by sisters Helen Ruth Aldrich Pickert and Margaret Elaine Aldrich Ochs, sons James Leslie Osbourne (Mary) and Kevin Ward Osbourne (Susan), daughter Barbara Ellen Osbourne and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barbara Ann is also survived by many, many friends. She was gifted with a knack for making friends with anyone with whom she came in contact, and it seemed she never in her life met a stranger. Her smile was infectious and constant, and always appreciated by those around her. We take comfort in knowing that her light will always shine in the eyes and hearts of her family and friends. The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of the Vogel Unit and the staff of Hospice of Midland, who all cared for her so lovingly.
Barbara Ann will be interred this summer next to Claude in Peninsula Township Cemetery, Old Mission, MI.
