Aubrey Neighbors, 73, of Big Spring, died on Friday, December 22, 2006, in an Odessa hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Douglas Puryear, Minister of The Church of The Living God in Brownfield, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.He was born on July 1, 1933, in Escota, Texas and married Jean Arp on January 20, 1951. She preceded him in death on July 12, 2000. He then married Janis Barfield on October 12, 2003, in San Antonio, Texas.Aubrey came to Big Spring in 1968 and opened Neighbors Auto Sales and owned Skateland. He enjoyed farming and collecting antique tractors. He loved to travel and had traveled through the United States and into Canada. Aubrey's true passion was his loving family. He was a member of The Church of The Living God in Brownfield.Survivors include his wife, Janis Neighbors; two daughters & sons-in-law, Kathy and Michael Robinson and Debbie and Paul Rieger; one son & daughter-in-law, A.C. and Shelley Neighbors, all of Big Spring; two step daughters, Verna Toscano and husband, Guido, of Arlington, and Larenda Larson and husband David, of Big Spring; one step son, Clay Gamble and wife Nora, of Coahoma; 17 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Branch and Vada Shafer, both of Waco.He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Franklin and Loretta Mae Durham Neighbors; and two brothers, Doyle Neighbors, and Ezra Neighbors.The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, % Carolyn Brooks, P.O.
