Arvie C. "A.C." Clark, Sr. 69, of Midland, was called to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 20, 2004, at a local hospital. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, May 24, 2004 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland with , officiating. He was born on March 19, 1935, in Garden City, Texas and married Jackie Tustin on February 14, 1958 in Colorado City, TX. He was in the Marine Corps and former commander at the American Legion in 1966. In his early years, A. C. was a volunteer firefighter in Colorado City and worked for 14 years at the U.S. Postal Service. He had also worked at Hill & Hill Trucking, and J.H. Rose Trucking. A.C. retired from McClatchy Bros. Trucking in 1997 after 20 years of service. He was an avid bowler, participating in league play since 1985. He enjoyed good food and good friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, "PaPa" and had a very special relationship with all of his grandsons. He was a member of The Episcopal Church.Survivors include his wife, Jackie Clark of Midland; one son & daughter-in-law, A.C. & Jane Clark, Jr. of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one daughter & son-in-law, Della & Dwight Kinney of Abilene, two sisters, Dixie Bond of Sweeetwater, and Vada B. Witkowsky of Big Spring; one brother, Leroy Clark of Sweetwater, and four grandsons, Clayton & Trevor Kinney of Abilene, Adam & Aaron Clark of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and his special beloved pet Abby.
