Artie Burns Froman, 84, of Big Spring, died on Saturday, April 13, 2002, in a Lubbock hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, April 15, 2002, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. R.T. Havner, Pastor of the First Assembly of God, officiating, with Rev. Stephen Grace, assisting. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She was born on February 26, 1918 in Denton County, Texas and married Joe Henry Froman in 1937 in Big Spring, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1976. Artie was the daughter of Jim and Annie Burns. She graduated from the Brown High School, after she and her husband married they moved to the Brown Community and farmed there until 1980. In 1969 they moved to Big Spring She was a member of First Assembly of God. She had served as a volunteer with the Pink Ladies and was involved in the Women's Missionary Society at the First Assembly of God Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Lawana and Jerry Webb of Flower Grove, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Derrell and Polly Froman of Lamesa, Texas; six grandchildren, Joey Froman of Austin, Jill Taylor of Lubbock, Jade Froman of Seminole, Ricky Webb and Janee Coleman both of Ackerly, and Sheree Webb of Lubbock; seven great grandchildren, M'Laci Webb of Ackerly, Raygan Webb and Jarrett Webb both of Allen, Texas, Jayden Coleman and Shay Coleman both of Ackerly, and Madison and Ty Froman both of Seminole. Mrs. Froman was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Audrey White and Aileen Nichols, and one brother, Ardis Burns. The family suggests memorials be made to a favorite charity.
