Arthur "Bug" Brown, Jr., 81, of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, in a local hospital. A gathering will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, March 16, 2007, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.He was born on February 16, 1926, in Alba, Texas.Arthur had lived in Big Spring since 1976. He had worked for LTV and was chosen Man of the Year in 1960. He was an independent real estate broker and had worked at Wal-Mart as a door greeter of 7 1/2 years. He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1944 to 1946 and was a highly decorated solider with several awards including the "V" Device Bronze Star. Arthur was a Mason for the past 50 years and was a loyal father and a very Christian man.Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and James Rinehart of Midland; one sister, Valla Williams of The Colony; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one nephew and one niece.He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons.The family suggests memorials be made to Home Hospice of Big Spring, 111 E. 7th St., Suite A, Big Spring, TX 79720.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
