Anne Cooper, 73, of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, July 6, 2004, in an Odessa hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 9, 2004 at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel, with Rev. Walter McCall, officiating.The family will receive friends Thursday, from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM, at the funeral home.Mrs. Cooper was born in Sencca Falls, New York on January 2, 1931 to Edward and Twila Southworth. She married Claude Garvin Cooper on November 6, 1948, in Marfa, Texas. She came to Big Spring in 1957 from Marfa. Anne had worked as registrar at the Scenic Mountain Medical Center Emergency Room for ten years. She was also a homemaker. Anne was a fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.She was an Episcopalian. Survivors include three daughters, Peggie Kimberlin and husband, Bob, of Flower Mound, Claudene Christopher of Big Spring, and Amy Dunn and husband, Michael, of Coahoma; one son, Bill Cooper and wife, Rhonda, of Brock; seven grandchildren, Michael Baker, Stacey West, Tracey West, Hunter Mayberry, Jessica Cooper, Sarah Dunn, and Katie Dunn; and four great granddaughters.She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Southworth; her mother, Twila Elmendorf; one daughter, Becky Cooper Valdez; and one sister, Alice Saunders.Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Dunn, Bob Kimberlin, Stacey West, Tracey West, Michael Baker and Hunter Mayberry.The family suggests memorials to the Big Spring Humane Society, PO Box 823, Big Spring, Texas 79721.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
