Ann Pierce, 79, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, June 22, 2005, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, June 24, 2005 at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel with Rick Cunningham, minister of 14th and Main Church of Christ, officiating.She was born on January 5, 1926, in Weatherford, Texas and married Doke Pierce on October 16, 1944 in Weatherford, Texas. Ann had worked for T&P Railroad as an office clerk in Baird and Ft. Worth. She came to Big Spring in 1945 and worked for Big Spring Independent School District as a cashier and later worked a short while for the telephone company. She was a homemaker.She had been a member of 14th and Main Church of Christ since 1945.Survivors include her husband, Doke Pierce of Big Spring; two sons, Donald Pierce of McKinney and Larry Pierce of Richmond, Virginia; one daughter, Barbara Mamoulides of Houston; two sisters, Wanda Sipes and Billie Stokes both of Bridgeport; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Blan and Ethel Waters; one sister, Nona Knibbe and two brothers, N. J. "Dick" Waters and Jim Waters.
