Anna Belle Graves, 92, of Lubbock, died on Friday, November 14, 2008, in a Lubbock hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 16, 2008 at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel in Stanton with Grandson, Craig Martin, officiating. She was born on July 23, 1916, in Rising Star, Texas and married Luben Graves on September 10, 1933 in Lovington, N M. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1982. Mrs. Graves had lived in Stanton for 52 years and worked at Martin County Hospital. She moved to Lubbock in 1985 and enjoyed quilting, macrame and crocheting. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Stanton. Survivors include daughter, Jeanette Martin of Lubbock; grandsons, Brad Martin of Lubbock, Craig Martin and wife, Jane of Salida, Colorado; great grandchildren, Joel Martin, Susanna Martin, Chloe Martin and Lydia Martin. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Jenny Simons, and three sisters, Mae Lee, Lois Bond and Lavelle White.The family suggests memorials be made to a favorite charity.
