Ann A. Morrison, 83, passed away September 4, 2006, at her home in Midland, Texas.Ann was born January 13, 1923, in Chickasaw, Oklahoma to Cy and Gladys Axtell. She was the youngest of 3 sisters.Ann was raised at the Magnolia Petroleum Camp at Iatan, Texas, where her father was the superintendent. She graduated from Colorado City High School and attended Oklahoma Womens College.Ann was married to Tom Morrison on October 1, 1953 and resided in Westbrook, Texas before moving to Midland in 1970. Ann was a homemaker and also volunteered at the Recording Library for the Blind, as well as Meals on Wheels.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Tom Morrison, and her sisters, Jane Axtell Shows and Josephine Axtell Morrison.She is survived by her two sons, Tom A. Morrison, IV and his wife, Jeanie and Howard Morrison and his wife, Paula; four grandchildren, Ann Marie Morrison of Colorado City, Texas, and Clay, Cole and Camryn Morrison of Midland, Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.The family would also like to thank her caregivers for the love, care and companionship they gave her over the past 3 years.
