Anita Hoelscher Brosig, 73, of Midland, passed away at home Tuesday, August 15, 2006. Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, August 17, 2006 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland. Funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM Friday, August 18, 2006 at St. Stephen?s Catholic Church in Midland with Father James Bridges, officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.Anita was born February 5, 1933 to Jake and Elsie Hoelscher in Olfen, Texas. She married Stan Brosig April 28, 1954 in Olfen.Anita was a volunteer at the hospital in Big Spring. She was active in church work as a member of Legion of Mary and The Altar Society at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Big Spring for 16 years. She volunteered at Fannin Elementary in Midland in the Need-To-Read program, until she became ill with Multiple Sclerosis.Anita?s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was very close to all of her children and never missed a chance to attend her grandkids? school activities and baseball games. The family enjoyed annual summer vacations together; and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to share one last trip with her.Survivors include her husband, Stan of Midland; a son, Karl and his wife, Cindy and their sons, Joe, Robert and Michael, all of Midland; a son, Terry and his wife, Kim and their son, Eric, all of Arlington; a son, David of Austin and his children, Jace and Leah; two daughters, Linda Brosig Ford and Lois Brosig of Midland; and four brothers, Vernon Hoelscher of Olfen, Kenneth and Gerald Hoelscher of San Angelo and Virgil Hoelscher of Richardson.Anita was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Steven and a brother, Jerome (Dutch) Hoelscher.The family wishes to thank the caregivers with Hospice of Midland for their exceptional, compassionate care.
