Andrew ShapiraAndrew Connor Shapira passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012. He was born on June 13, 1951 in Houston and moved to Midland in 1954. He attended St. Ann's School, San Jacinto Jr. High, Midland High School and The University of Texas. An avid golfer, he was club champion at Midland Country Club twice. He was an Independent Landman in Midland.Andy is survived by his sister, Julie; brother, Michael and wife Kathie; two nieces, Jill Young and husband, Tony of Midland; Laine Torres and husband, Travis of Lubbock; and one great-nephew, Tyler Bracken of Midland.Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. we loved him very much and will miss him dearly. will miss his cheerful demeanor and he always brightened up our day.

I will never forget Andy, he had such a beautiful heart, Always so kind, I will miss Him so much! We had so many wonderful times & He taught me how to cook sour cream butterfly pork chops and Artichokes with lemon butter! We used to take Annebelle & Susie for a walk together! I am so blesssed to have had Him for my friend! I pray he is at peace now, I truly loved Him and I will never forget Him, he was by my side when my little brother was killed snow skiing in Ruidoso, that also was Andy'sfriend. You And.y will always be in my Heart

i am sorry to hear of andy's death he was a great guy with wonderful parents and family i have many memories of the house across from the duck pond! we had many laughs in school and after. he will be missed. kelly and i send our sincere condolences
