Amanda Elaine Wallace went home to our Lord and Savior on March 14, 2024. While her passing has left her family heartbroken, we take solace knowing that absent from the body means present with the Lord. Amanda was born to her mother, Shelly Jacobs Wallace and father, Paul Kim Wallace on October 8, 1991. Her unique life brought profound joy and happiness to her entire family. Amanda had the kindest heart and soul and taught each of us more than we could have ever taught her. Her autism never made her “less” than anyone but in fact made her “more” than most of us will ever be. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing and we always knew she was happy when we heard it. Amanda’s eyes may have never seen the things of this earthly world but they are now seeing the brightest sun and pure glory of Heaven.
Amanda leaves behind her mother, Shelly Wallace and her favorite aunt Paula Barstad along with aunts Deborah Vyvlecka, Julie Horn and Kathy Tiemann, uncles David Jacobs, and John Tiemann along with many cousins who will miss her smile and personality, including her stubbornness. Amanda was preceded in death by her father, Paul Kim Wallace, her sister, Tonya Wallace and brother, Jason Wallace.
A celebration of her life will be held at the home of Steve and Julie Horn at 1000 W. Pine in Midland on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers her family requests donations to be made to Autismspeaks.org, Midland Animal Shelter Adoptables, Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals, or charity of your choice.
