Amado "Maro" Trevino, 61, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, July 2, 2006, in a Midland hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Bishop Burr Lea Settles, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, officiating. Amado was born on September 30, 1944, in Dawson County and married Julia Cano on January 11, 1971 in Big Spring. He enjoyed music, especially classical music and was an avid reader before his illness. Amado was also a fantastic artist, using all mediums in his art. He loved his family, his pets, and friends and he will leave many who loved him.He was a Catholic. Amado served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Disabled American Veteran's Chapter.Survivors include wife, Julia Trevino of Big Spring, one brother, Ramiro Moreno, two sisters, Lena Castro and Dora Quintanilla all of Lamesa, a brother-in-law, Ralph Cano of Victoria, two sisters-in-law, Marina Garcia of Lamesa, and Gloria Cano of Big Spring, and his pets, Little Guy Canine and General Lee Feline. He was preceded in death by parents, Gabriel and Teresa Trevino, two sisters, Mary Moreno and Ageda Sturgeon and several of his pets, Jake, Arche, Mickey Canine and Gino Feline.
