Aunt Ven, you were a very special Aunt and one I was very fortunate to meet when I was young. It has always been in my mind your visit to Indiana with Uncle Jeff and little Dolores. It had to be in the late 40's or early 50's. When Aunt Dell visited Rodney was 2 years old but I have always heard from you, Aunt Ven. I wasn't very good at writing and when you and I talked it was mostly from both ends "what did you say?". My Mother showed us from a very early age that her family was very special to her and she loved all as she did us. Love you all.

We called each other every Saturday. Sometimes something would happen during the week and we would start talking about it. When it got going really good one of us would say, "That's gossip!" and the other would say "It's not any of our business!". Then we would have a good laugh. On the Saturdays when we didn't talk about anyone, then one of us would say, "I don't know any news, do you?" and the other one would say, "Me neither". So then we would say, "We might as well hang up". I will miss our Saturday calls. Love and miss you, Ruby
