Alvaro Hinojos, 78, of Midland passed away October 30, 2024. Viewing will be from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2024 and from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 3, 2024. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 4, 2024 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Midland. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Alvaro was born March 25, 1946 in Mexico to Concepcion and Margarito Hinojos. He married Olivia Saenz December 28, 1967 in Mexico. They had four children.

Alvaro was a wonderful son, husband, father, Guelo, and great grandfather. He loved horses and cattle. His passion was his ranch in Mexico. He put everyone else first. He never complained and was a wonderful patient for his family. Alvaro was a strong man even until the end.

He is survived by mother Concepcion Hinojos of Mexico; children, Asucena Villareal and husband Tiburcio of Midland, Laura Tarin and husband Michael of Midland, Gabriella and husband Jose Luis of Midland, Alvaro Hinojos Jr. and wife Laura of Midland; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
