Alonzo Garcia Munoz, 26 of Odessa, Texas, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024. A vigil will begin at 5:00p.m until 7:00p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel.
Alonzo was born on October 24, 1997, in Monahans, Texas to Alonzo Munoz and Cristy Bustamantes. Alonzo was raised in Pecos, Texas and later moved to Alpine, Texas where he attended grade school. He and his family moved to Odessa, Texas in 2011 where he attended Odessa High School. Alonzo began his career in the oilfield at the early age of 16. He met the love of his life, Taylor in March of 2023 in Carlsbad, New Mexico where they married on July 29, 2023. They resided in Carlsbad with their 3 daughters, Isabella, Esmeralda, and Briella for 10 months before they moved to Odessa, Texas in May of 2024.
Alonzo’s hobbies included collecting rocks and crystals, hiking, reading, fishing, playing video games, gardening, and crafting with his girls. Alonzo passed doing what he felt called to do, working to provide for his family. He was a kind, patient, loving, hardworking man. He loved all types of animals, and he loved working on the house he bought for his family. He was especially talented in fixing things around their house. Even if he did not know how to make the repair, he would research and figure it out. Alonzo accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in 2021 and lived everyday he had on this earth to the fullest.
Alonzo is survived by spouse Taylor Munoz and daughters Isabella, Esmeralda, and Briella; mother Cristy Bustamantes; siblings Andrea Garcia, Aaden Seijas, and Adalyn Seijas; aunt Crystal Edwards and her husband Jay and daughter Alyssa; uncle Adam Garcia and his children Matthew, Maylynn, and Madyson; uncle Adrian Garcia and children; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Alonzo is preceded in death by father Alonzo Munoz, great grandmother Maria Garcia, great grandfather Adan Garcia.
