Aloma Kay Koerber, 65, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, December 14, 2008, in a Midland hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring with PastorClint Collins, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.Aloma was born on December 2, 1943, in Winters, Texas.She grew up in Phoenix, Arizonawhere at age 11 she met her childhood sweetheartDonald Koerber. Aloma at 17 and Donald at18, the two married on June 10, 1960 in Phoenix.The couple spent some time inPhoenix and Bullhead City, Arizona, before they moved to Big Spring, in 1988. She was awonderful wife, mother, grandmotherand a homemaker. Sheloved camping, going to movies,Elvis Presley, Rachel Ray, and spending time with her family.She was a Christain. She was loved by everyone that ever met her. Survivors include husband, Donald Koerber of Big Spring; three daughters, Debbie Storie and her late husband John of McCamey, Texas and Shelley Burrow and her husband Mike, and Brenda Tubb and her husband Brian all of Big Spring; two sons , Don Koerber and Jim Koerber both of Big Spring, and son-in-law Mike Roever of McCamey, Texas; she has seven grandchildren; Becky Roever, Jacob Roever, Lane Storie and Jonathan Storie, all of McCamey, Texas; Don Koerber III, Amy Koerber, and Brelyn Tubb all of Big Spring, Texas; one sister, Gloria Alexander of Big Spring; and one brother, Jim Graves also of Big Spring. Mrs. Koerber was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Verba Graves; her grand daughter Amy Koerber; and a son-in-law John Storie.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
