Alliene M. Gregg, 85, of Lubbock, formerly of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, August 13, 2002, in a Lubbock nursing home after a lengthy illness. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 15, 2002, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Russell Mullins, minister of Coahoma Church of Christ, officiating. He will be assisted by Don Allen. She was born on December 24, 1916 in Eastland County, Texas and married Coy Ree Gregg on August 3, 1932 in Coahoma, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 19, 1983. Mrs. Gregg was a resident of Howard County for 62 years, of Enid, Oklahoma for 10 years and for the past 2 1/2 years of Lubbock. She was a member of Garriott Road Church of Christ in Enid, Oklahoma. She loved her family, church and work and liked cooking, gardening and embroidering. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Jack Miller of Lubbock; one grandson, Eric Miller of Lubbock; one granddaughter, Cindy Price of Mission; and six great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
