Allie B. Cook, 88, of Henderson, formerly of Garden City, died on Tuesday, October 11, 2005, at his daughter's residence. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 15, 2005 at the Garden City Cemetery with Rev. Lloyd Hagermeier, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Garden City, officiating.The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.Mr. Cook was born on February 19, 1917, in Garden City, Texas.He was a farmer and rancher all his life and enjoyed horse races, fishing and work. He especially enjoyed his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was a Baptist. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James N. and Charolotte Cook of Houston; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Danny Coats of Henderson; one sister, Marjorie Klein of Fredericksburg; two grandsons, James N. Cook, Jr. of Round Rock and Clay Coats of Longview; a granddaughter, Kristi Evans of Conroe; seven great grandchildren, Christopher Cook, Emily Cook, Shelby Cook, Allison Cook, Tessa Evans, Chase Evans and Scott Evans; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Cook of Garden City.
