Alice Joyce Hedges, 97, of Big Spring, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
She was born August 3, 1924 in Patton Ville, Texas to Roy W. Harrison and Bessie Lee Tow. She married Douglas C. Hedges on June 12, 1949 in Midland, Texas. She had been a resident of the community since 1959. She was a teacher’s aide and was a Baptist.
She is survived by her children: Johnny Hedges, Marry Ellen Atkinson, Mark Hedges and Steven Hedges and two sisters: Jacque Ayers and Dot Thomas along with 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Douglas C. Hedges; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
