Faulkenberry, Alice 98, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, August 13, 2000, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 15, 2000, at Trinity Memorial Park with Rev. Ricky Carstensen, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church, officiating. She was born on August 5, 1902 in Kaufman County, Texas and married J. A. Faulkenberry on September 24, 1925 in Loraine, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1958. She moved to Mitchell County as a young girl and moved to Dawson County in 1935. She then moved to Big Spring in 1958. Mrs. Faulkenberry was a homemaker. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Fran Green and Jo Nell and Jack Griffin all of Big Spring; one sister, Willie Barrier of Houston; six grandchildren, Jack M. Griffin, Jr. and wife Sandy of Big Spring, Bobby Griffin and wife Sherry of Lewisville, Jiimmy Griffin and wife Cathy of Coppell, Teresa Fenton and husband Steve of San Antonio, Jo Ellen Carusetta and husband Jerry of San Antonio and David James Green of Sweetwater; nine great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; and her caregiver, Melinda Rios. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister and by a son-in-law, Ken Green in 1991. The family suggests memorials to: Wesley United Methodist Church, 1206 Owens, Big Spring, TX 79720. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Monday evening from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
