Alice W. Creighton was born on June 18, 1906 to Jacob and Hannah Willman in Duluth, MN. Her full and beautiful earthly life ended on September 6, 2005. She married M. Douglas Creighton in Duluth on June 21, 1930. Alice was one of first long distance operators before her marriage and later worked as a retail clerk after raising their family, but was primarily a homemaker who was proud of her home and loved to cook and bake. She was an Episcopalian and member of Daughters of the King for many years. They lived in Duluth and Michigan for 52 years until Doug's death in 1982. She had made her home in Midland, TX for the last 17 years where everyone who knew her called her "Grandma."Alice was proud of her three daughters and their families, all of whom loved her dearly, and will miss her gentle ways. She is survived by Jacquelyn C. Highfield and husband, Glen (Chuck); Lois C. Stoller and husband, Fred; Carolyn C. Rhode and husband Joe; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. One grandchild, Joseph C. Rhode preceded her in death. She will also be missed by her special friends, Harriet Higgins and Syretta Evans.Family visitation will be at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home, 3800 N. Big Spring St. in Midland, on Thursday, September 8th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be at the same location on Friday, September 9th at 10:00 am with Father Rodney White officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Douglas Stoller, Mark Highfield, Susan Capece, David Stoller, Paul Highfield, Dale Stoller, Bruce Highfield, Jason Rhode, and Kathleen Rhode.Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Midland, P.O.
