Alfred Joe Hendricks, 73, of Midland passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 2:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Alfred was born on October 1, 1939 to Herman and Lizza Helm in Roscoe, Texas. He graduated high school in Roscoe, Texas and went on to serve our country in the US Army. He married the love of his life Darlene McNabb on December 22, 1963 in Kileen, Texas. He was a member at Kelview Heights Baptist Church. Alfred was a wonderful husband, father, and brother. Survivors include wife, Darlene Hendricks of Midland, Texas; son, Chris Hendricks of Amarillo, Texas; son, Michael Hendricks and wife Nancy of Midland, Texas; sister, Sarah Jordan of Temple, Texas; brother, Herman Helm Jr., of Grand Prairie, Texas; son-in-law, Kent Kelley of Midland, Texas; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Helm; daughter, Jeanie Kelley; brother, Billy Hendricks.The family would like to thank the employees and staff of Manor Park, and Home Hospice for the excellent love and care given.
